You are not alone
Hello, my name is Heather. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with women who are navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and past trauma. Many of the clients I see are balancing work, school, relationships, and high expectations, while quietly feeling exhausted or unsure of who they are outside of everything they’re “supposed” to be doing. Others come in knowing their past still shows up in their present and wanting space to work through that in a way that feels safe and steady.
Therapy with me is collaborative, gentle, and warm. You don’t need to have everything figured out, and you don’t need the perfect words. We start right where you are. Sessions are a place to talk through what’s been weighing on you, notice patterns in thoughts and emotions, and build tools that help you feel more grounded and in control of your life.
I use a person-centered, strength-based approach and offer EMDR when it feels appropriate. We move at a pace that feels good to you. You always have a say in what we work on, and nothing is rushed. Clients often tell me they feel heard, not judged, and supported in a way that feels steady rather than overwhelming.
Outside the therapy room, I value balance, connection, and the grounding presence of animals. I’m an animal lover, and my flemish giant rabbit Storm is often nearby during sessions. I believe healing happens best in a space that feels human, warm, and safe.
I have worked in the field of social work since 2008. I have experience working in multiple settings including medical, home health, inpatient psychiatric hospital, community mental health, and schools (preschool to college). I also provide clinical supervision to unlicensed therapists.
If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of who you are or where you’re headed, therapy can be a place to slow down and make sense of things. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start, and you don’t have to do this alone. I know that finding a therapist can be challenging. Feel free to email me or give me a call and even if I am not the perfect fit I can help you find someone who is. Looking forward to chatting soon.
If I do not currently accept your insurance, sessions are $150. I can help verify if you have out-of-network benefits if your insurance is not listed as an insurance I currently accept. I use a service called Thrizer that can automatically submit superbills for you. Superbills can also be provided directly to you outside of Thrizer that you can submit directly to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Sliding scale may be available. Please reach out with any questions, I'm happy to work with you to keep therapy affordable. Reach out to me directly or use the following link to check your out-of network benefits.
